architecture preview #1

Sculptured House
1. Charles Daeton
2. 1963
3. Colorado, USA
4. cant visit
5. he sold it for 3.1 million. no info on how much it took to build
6. Charles inspiration was, "On Genesee Mountain I found a high point of land where I could stand and feel the great reaches of the Earth. I wanted the shape of it to sing an unencumbered song."
7. I picked this house because i wanted to see someone who lives in luxury. This house looks amazing. Its view is very pretty in the mountains.

La Pedrera
1. Antoni Gaudí
2. 1912
3. spain 4. you can visit
5. no info
6. Casa Milà was built for Roser Segimon and her husband Pere Milà.
7. I picked this building because it's huge. I like how it's older. This building reminds me of wealthy people.

Nautilus House, Mexico
1. Javier Senosiain
2. 2007
3. Mexico
4. you can visit
5. there is no information
6. it was inspired by the sea
7. I like this because it's in Mexico. It has many plants and I love nature. It gives you an organic feeling. It's like a maze when you walk through it.

Habitat 67
1. Moshe Safdie
2. 1967
3. canada
4. it is for people who live there not visitors
5. no info
6. Safdie's design for habitat 67 started as a thesis project for his architecture program at mcGill university.
7. I chose this architecture because of the name, Habitat 67. It sounds like the area where the most amount of paranormal activity occurred. The building is a bunch of apartment complexes and it looks futuristic.

The eden project
1.  Nicholas Grimshaw
2. 2001
3. united kingdom
4. you can visit
5. it says that someone donated £50 million to help build it.
6. it was built on a clay pit.
7. I picked this building because i used to listen to a band called the Eden project so i thought i would check it out. Turns out the band was named after the architecture and it is a green house.

sensory overload and sports/action assignment

1. I completely agree with the statement. We define ourselves as "America the Home of the Free," but no, we are not. And yes, I know, I am blessed to wake up every day and not have to worry about my school getting blown up or getting shot because I painted my nails, but think about it. Are we really that free? Stop defining places by what they have because it creates negative energy.

2) I would love to visit this place, but not to take pictures. I would go to completely enjoy myself. To enjoy the senses I feel instead of feeling like I nave to share it with other people.

3) I am a child of someone who works in a business and a child of someone who writes books. I think this would be absolutely overwhelming.

4) My favorite photo was the one of the flowers. Looking at it just made me happy, excited. No american store looks like that, not even a booth. This place seems very happy to me, just full of color.

Madeleine Davis, freshman, walks around the courtyard on her way to lunch.  She usually walks alone and meets her friends in the cafeteria.

Madeleine Davis, freshman, dances to the music in the courtyard. She usually meets up with her friends and they play music at lunch.

Madeleine Davis, freshman, walks over to her friends. She sits with the same friends at lunch every day.

Three girls walk through the courtyard to class after lunch. The courtyard is usually filled with lots of people walking to class after lunch.
